Lesson Prices & How to Book
Blackwood School of Motoring offers one to one manual driving lessons, with tuition planned around each pupil’s progress through the skills required for safe, independent driving.
John works with a limited number of pupils at a time, with regular lessons providing continuity and allowing each session to build on the last.

Ongoing Lessons
Pay As You Go Lessons
For new learners and pupils continuing their driving tuition. Lessons are normally arranged on a regular basis and paced according to progress.
1 Hour Lesson: £40
1.5 Hour Lesson: £60
Lesson Length
Regular tuition is offered in one hour and 90 minute sessions. This gives enough time to introduce, practise and develop skills while keeping each lesson focused.
Getting Started or Returning
Taster Lesson
For new learners who would like to meet John, become familiar with the car and experience his approach to teaching before arranging ongoing lessons.
1 Hour Taster Lesson: £40
Assessment Drive
For learners who already have driving experience, whether with another instructor or through private practice. The assessment allows John to establish your current level, identify any areas requiring further development and discuss appropriate next steps.
1.5 Hour Assessment Drive: £60
Full Licence Holders
Refresher Lessons
For full licence holders returning to driving after a break, rebuilding confidence or becoming accustomed to a different car or driving environment.
2 Hour Refresher Lesson: £80
4 Hour Refresher Lesson: £160
